Let’s Tend the Garden: Conference on Environment
Sept 20-22, 2007
Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Boise, ID with support by Restoring Eden
Environmental stewardship conference for churches, colleges, and individuals
Website: http://letstendthegarden.org/

As the church awakens to the importance of environmental stewardship, Let's Tend the Garden Conference is equipping Christians in churches and on college campuses to take up the biblical mandate to care for God’s creation.  This conference takes place from September 20-22, 2007 at Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Boise, ID.  Restoring Eden is helping develop a series of practical workshops on activism. Plenary speakers include Tri Robinson, author and senior pastor from the Boise Vineyard; Richard Cizik, Vice President of the National Association of Evangelicals; Scott Sabin, executive director of Floresta, a Christian relief ministry emphasizing ecological micro-development projects; and Ken Wilson, pastor of Ann Arbor Vineyard.

Conference workshops will emphasize practical ways people can bring creation care back to their churches and campuses. The Boise Vineyard Church has ministries ranging from trail building in the wilderness of Idaho to digging wells in drought stricken villages in Africa. They will share innovative ways pastors and churches can interweave environmental stewardship into the mission of the church. Workshops by Restoring Eden will focus on skills and concepts to raise up grassroots advocates for creation care on college campuses and in churches.  The Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN), Creation Care Study Program (CCSP), Climate Solutions, and others will offer additional workshops.   Extensive times of worship will celebrate the goodness of God and the wonder of creation.
