We would love to see you at the  "The Church Has Left the Building" conference in Seattle on April 28-29.  Tom and Christine Sine of the Mustard Seed Associates will be convening an international panel of experts to discuss the future of the American church.  Front and center in this conversation will be the New Monasticism, a worldwide movement of Christians choosing to live out the gospel together in the abandoned places of empire.  God is stirring up some exciting expressions of following Him, and attendees will have opportunities at the conference to talk with its everyday pioneers like Shane Claiborne of The Simple Way community.

A hallmark of the New Monasticism is caring for God's creation.  They are taking the biblical idea of community to the next step and placing it squarely within the bigger community of life on Earth, and the New Monastics have invited Restoring Eden's Peter Illyn to address this more holistic and biblically-consistent worldview.  His presentation will be "Taking Creation Care Seriously: An Opportunity to Create Ways to Live More Lightly On The Earth."  Who else would they invite to speak about why God loves something as silly-looking as llamas than Peter!

God is really building something huge with this renewed move toward living in community, and if you're in the area, we really hope you can be a part of it.  Alone, our voices can seem faint; the New Monastics are reminding us that together, our voices are much stronger.
